Here is a spelling test that coordinates with the Lexercise Scope & Sequence.
It can be used as an initial assessment, to help determine the client's beginning Lexercise Level.
It can also be useful as a pre-post assessment to document therapy gains.
Instructions
- Say the test word, followed by the sentence containing the word and then say the test word again.
- Do not provide any cues or feedback about spelling accuracy. Instead, encourage effort with feedback like, “You are working hard.”
- Continue until there are 2 or more errors at one level, finish administering the words at that level and then discontinue.
